Teaching Artist
Aside from my work on the stage, I have a strong passion for teaching the next generation of performing artists.
The bulk of my work has been either teaching weekly acting classes or directing full-fledged productions of licensed musicals. My work as an educator has a strong foundation in using the actor’s text to form the basis of their character portrayal. This is achieved with interrogative questions personalized to each actor and their character. Over the past year, I have branched out and provided private acting lessons as well as performance coaching, stage management, and sound design for local youth shows.
These conversations typically arise in the midst of rehearsal and tend to be spur of the moment ideas that the actor or I uncover through our work. I have found astounding success with this method and seen the students grow exponentially in my productions and classes. I believe that this method helps instill a love and attention to the craft that most young actors are remiss about.
Favorite credits include The Lion King, Kids & Creature Sing-Along; Finding Nemo, Jr.; The Drowsy Chaperone, Jr.; Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jr.; R&H’s Cinderella: Youth Edition; and Bye Bye Birdie: Youth Edition.
Future projects include: Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids & Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr.

OH, YOU WANT TO SEE MY ACTING RESUME?
But wait… there’s more!
In the fall of 2022, my alma matter’s dance professor reached out to me with a new venture: teaching residencies. Working all throughout Delaware with DiAE, I integrate drama with common core standards and existing curricula to foster the goal of DiAE:
“Our goal is to engage students in all subjects by using the arts to foster a love of learning while promoting cultural awareness and respect as well as enhancing creativity and critical thinking skills.”
I have also had the wonderful opportunity to take part in professional development for teachers and have been certified as a Wolf Trap teaching artist, specializing in the utilization of drama to improve early childhood literacy.
